Halo is a first person shooter action videogame developed by Bungie Studios and published by Microsoft Game Studios.
This futuristic game is set in the twenty-sixth century, in which the player has to assume the role of the Master Chief, a cybernetically enhanced "SPARTAN" super-soldier. The player is not alone, but accompanied by Cortana, an artificial intelligence who lives in the Master Chief's neural interface. Players fight against various aliens on foot and in vehicles as they try to uncover the secrets of the Halo, a ring-shaped structure. The game is really easy to learn, and has a truly engaging story.
Halo has a gameplay focused on combat in a 3D environment, and takes place almost entirely from a character's eye view. The player can move around and look up, down, left or right. The game presents different types of vehicles, all of which can be controlled by the player. The software changes to the third-person perspective during vehicle use for pilots and mounted gun operators, while passengers maintain a first-person view.
Regarding the storyline, the overpopulation of Earth and the realization of faster-than-light travel have caused the human race to colonize other planets, and a special mission force has been sent to discover the Halo, an enormous, ring-shaped artificial space habitat/planet, which has a diameter of ten thousand kilometers.
- Excellent storyline. Has been claimed as one of the best fantastic first-person shooters in the world
